commissions

prices reflect non-exclusive personal use (i retain the rights to sell/distribute the work as i please).exclusive personal use is subject to a charge (+25% of the base price).
* listed prices take into account how i may sell them as my own prints/merch
* even with OCs, i may decide to sell a collection of my art as an artbook, one day (unlikely, but i'm keeping my options open...)
if you're interested in alternate licensing terms & wish to discuss things like exclusivity, commercial use, and duration of license, please contact me!

Style A ($90+)

a rougher illustration style.
* unsuitable for color references due to stylized colors
if you give me more than $90 they'll be a little more involved/rendered and/or have background elements incorporated.i will charge +50% for each additional character.

Style B ($200+)

character-focused illustrationextra characters will be about $50+ each, animals, about $30+ eachprice may be adjusted based on complexity, but generally things like the examples are closer to $250-$300

Terms of Service

By commissioning me, you are agreeing to the following terms:

  • Unless otherwise agreed upon, the Commission is for non-exclusive, non-commercial, personal use only. That is: The Client may edit it for personal use (i.e. cropping for icon or header) and reupload the Commission however they please.

  • The Commission is strictly not allowed to be minted as NFT (this is non-negotiable).

  • The Artist may cancel or decline the Commission for any reason. In this case, regardless of progress, a complete refund will be issued.

  • The Client must pay at least 50% up front via PayPal Invoice. The remainder must be sent after a satisfactory composition sketch is completed. The Artist will not start the Commission unless the Commission is paid in full.

  • The Client may cancel the Commission at any time. If the Artist has not started on the Commission, a full refund will be issued. If the Artist has completed a sketch, the Artist will keep 20% of the cost. If the Artist is close to completing the Commission, it is unlikely there will be a refund for the Commission.

  • By default, the deadline for the Commission is 3 months after the deposit is made. The Client may name a shorter deadline, but depending on short the deadline is and the artist's availability, there may be a surcharge.

  • The Client may ask for progress at any time (may take up to a business day to respond; I'm trying to keep commission related work/communications to just Mon-Fri).

  • The Client must provide visual references. References to preferred poses / composition, even if rough stick figure drawings, are encouraged.

  • The Client is allowed to ask for up to 3 "major" edits to the sketch ("major" defined as changes to composition or pose); only minor details may be changed afterwards (color correcting, a missing scar, etc). Any more major changes will be charged on a case by case basis.

  • Merch commissions will generally take an additional 2-3 months to produce, depending on my order schedule. If the Client is willing to pay for the production/shipping from the Artist's manufacturer, the Artist will order the Commissioned merch regardless of their order schedule; warning: this is fairly expensive.

Process

  • The Client must send an inquiry (detailed in contacts). After reviewing the inquiry, the Artist will quote the inquiry, and ask for more details about the inquiry if necessary.

  • The Client may approve or decline the quoted the price; if the Client approves, a PayPal invoice will be sent.

  • Once the Client pays at least 50%, the Artist will start on the sketch.

  • Upon completing the sketch, the Artist will send the Client the sketch for approval. The Client must request any major changes here. Once the sketch is approved, the Client must also pay the rest of the invoice if they have not done so.

  • Once the sketch is approved, and the invoice is paid in full, STYLE A commissions will be completed and sent for approval; minor changes may be made to it. STYLE B and MERCH COMMISSIONS will be sent for approval at several more stages (lineart/flat/complete), and will not proceed until approved; please request any minor changes as soon as possible.

  • Once completed, a high-quality version of the commission will be sent to the Client.

  • For merch comms, the finished product may take 2-3 months to produce.
